Fireworks ban in Westport except on Half Moon Bay Beach July 4

Independence Day revelers are reminded that it is unlawful to possess, use, sell, barter, or trade fireworks within the city without the prior approval of the city council and the mayor with one exception.

On July 4, the possession and use of fireworks is allowed along the beach at Half Moon Bay at least 200 feet west of the beach grass line within the City of Westport between the hours of 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. Only state-approved Safe & Sane fireworks are allowed.
